General
I’ve just presented to http://pt-br.padlet.com, a simple tool to collaborate in both work and school scenarios. In my English course, my ‘high-tech’ teacher presented it yesterday, and I saw all people generating content and posting at same time, even from very different cell phones.
Other teachers have presented some interesting websites during the course, like www.couchsurfing.com, that can allow you travel almost all over the world staying in people’s home. Sounds less expensive and might drive you in a deeper cultural experience.
VPN’s
I found an interesting article about VPN’s when the Brazilian government decided to block Whatsapp in Brazil for 48 hours. The Enterprise’s VPNs are generally used to improve security inside corporate network during operation in a bunch of devices. Some examples are Quidway SVN, Cisco VPN,
However, those tools could be used to reach blocked services in some countries, that are allowed from USA and other countries. This is valid for Hulu and Whatsapp.
For personal use, there are options as TorGuard.net, HideMyAss and ExpressVPN.
Charges varies from $5.00 to $20.00 depending on the chosen terms.
